How to set recording quality during recording (from high quality to low quality)

Note: This setting does not apply to external codecs. It applies only to oCamโ€™s built-in codec.

Lowering the recording quality will reduce the size of the recorded video file, but the image quality will also become worse.


There is a menu at the top of oCam. Click Tools - Options, then click Encoding on the left, and you can select the video quality as shown below.

By default, it is set to Very High (high quality).


During recording, the video quality can be selected using the following levels.

What is the oCam portable version, and is it okay to install it?

The oCam portable version is not an officially supported or distributed file by Ohsoft.
Therefore, using such a portable version is absolutely not recommended.

Currently, files distributed on the internet with names like โ€œoCam v[version]_Portable.7zโ€ exist on torrent sites and other unofficial routes.
Our investigation confirmed that these files are illegal modified versions made by Russian crackers.
Osoft (the developer) provides no warranty for portable versions.

In addition, because this portable version is made by Russian crackers, the security risk is very high.
For example, there is a high possibility that it contains threats such as ransomware, malware, or viruses.
Installing these files can lead to serious issues such as personal information leakage or system damage, so do not install them under any circumstances.

To download and use oCam safely, you must use the official Osoft website.
It is recommended to use only the official versions distributed through trusted major portal sites.
Files downloaded from non-official sources can cause security threats, so always be cautious.
For safe use, the smartest choice is to download the legitimate version and immediately delete any suspicious files.
